4x5" Tintype Studio Session - 30 Minutes

Service Description

Our 4x5” studio tintype session includes: • 30-minute private portrait session • One handcrafted 4×5 wet plate tintype, made during your session • Guided posing and direction throughout the session • Experience the historic wet plate photographic process For studio sessions, I use very high power studio lights and capture the subject in a moment of light. This method of photography is very time sensitive and will require the clients to pose relatively still for a several minutes as the photograph is prepared. This format is great for single sitters and couples. Pets and small children are viable and may require additional patience during the posing and sitting process. Each plate is a one-of-a-kind photograph – unique marks, variations, and characteristics are part of the process. I will reshoot plates for any artifacts and inclusions that occur in the focal area. If you have epilepsy or are sensitive to sudden loud noises/light please take caution when booking this type of appointment. Additional plates or poses can be added to the session during the checkout process.
